ABOUT US
A Letter from the Capital Foundation Board Chair

Capital Community College Foundation, Inc., (Capital Foundation) was founded in 1985 as the Greater Hartford Community College Foundation and was established to support the College in all its endeavors. The Foundation serves a key role in creating college access and helping Capital provide quality, affordable post-secondary education to residents of Greater Hartford.

Students are getting an education at Capital that can lead to a rewarding career or a path to a 4-year educational journey.

The Capital Foundation and its Board of Directors raise funds for scholarships, equipment, and program enhancements that contribute to student success. We serve as prudent and effective stewards of annual and endowment funds made possible through the generosity of donors.

We invite you to learn more about Capital and its programs and to join us in advocating for and supporting Hartford's community college. For more information, email CA-foundation@capitalcc.edu or call 860-906-5102.

Sincerely,
Dinora Lopez, Esq., Chairperson

The Value of Giving To The CCC Foundation

Capital, with a mission to provide residents with a “quality, affordable education”, lowers the cost roadblock that so many people encounter in pursuit of college. Over 70% of entering Capital students – most of them the first in their families to attend college – qualify for some form of financial aid.  Gifts to the CCC Foundation are increasingly important to maintaining the access mission and to continuing Capital’s tradition as a stepping stone to academic achievement and professional careers for individuals who otherwise would not have the opportunity to go to college.
